JIS is an independent journal and does not charge for access to articles. As such, we support operations by sharing a portion of operating expenses with authors through a one-time Article Processing Charge (APC), also know as a publication fee. 

Our regular fee is $49 USD. For manuscripts submitted by October 31, 2026 APCs for this journal are FREE. 

Payment is due only after manuscript acceptance. There are no charges for submission.

The APC supports the editorial, production, and digital preservation infrastructure required for sustainable open-access publishing. In return, authors benefit from enhanced discoverability, broader international reach, and the long-term availability of their work across disciplines and audiences.
